Future Golf Pros?

A few weekends ago Chris took Mason to the driving range and he had fun playing with Daddy’s clubs, so we decided to get him his own little set.  It just arrived and they have played around in the yard, but haven’t gone back again yet.  It will be interesting to see how he likes it and if we have a future golfer on our hands!

My Boys

Love my boys!

Welcome Brayden!!

We are so excited for the arrival of our new cousin/nephew.   Brayden Mark Schaefer was born April 13th at 3:56 pm and weighed in at 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 21 inches.  Mommy Shannon and baby are both doing great and the proud parents are sleep-deprived but loving every minute with Brayden.  They came home from the hospital yesterday and are adjusting to being at home.  We were lucky to share Brayden’s birthday with them and were waiting at the hospital for the arrival and announcement of boy/girl.  Mason and Cal were so cute with him and loved being able to see such a tiny baby.  Cal kept saying “Baby, hat” and Mason was very curious and commenting about how small his nose and fingers are.  On the way home from the hospital Mason couldn’t stop asking me all kinds of questions about him  like if he was cold and how come he was all wrapped up in a blanket and we couldn’t see his feet.  Here are the pics Chris took in the hospital.  We look forward to seeing Brayden (and Mark and Shan) again next week!

Mason & Cal in Bath

Mason & Cal in Bath a video by mcclave on Flickr.

Bath time is always an adventure with 2 busy boys. Here they are singing together and Mason telling Cal he’s not singing the right words.

Mason turns 3

I’m only a month behind in posting, but my sweet baby boy turned 3 on Feb. 27. It’s been an amazing and wonderful 3 years and it’s so much fun to watch him learn and grow each day. We celebrated with friends and family at the Turn of River fire station in Stamford. The firemen did a great job teaching the kids about fire safety and the highlight of the party was the fire truck rides. Mason was loving it, but too shy to take a ride the first time. When he saw me and Cal coming back and heard the sirens he changed his mind quickly and then after his ride said he wanted to go again.  Everyone had a blast and here are the few pics we managed to take.

Parks

So happy the weather is finally warming up and we can go back to the parks!

Crosswicks

While Chris was away for work and Mason had the week off school, we spent a few days in NJ hanging out with Nana, Grandpa, Uncle Mark, Aunt Shannon, Uncle Pete and Aunt Rachel. Also, were able to go to Bounce U (big indoor bouncy houses) with Monica, Sammy and Tommy. It was great to have help with the kids and see everyone!

Spring

Is it Spring yet? Can’t wait to start playing outside on a regular basis. Mason has been waiting patiently for all the snow to melt of the top of his sandbox.

Smoothie

Mason and Chris were too cute sharing a morning smoothie. Little does Mason know there is some spinach mixed in with all the fruit!

Snow

So much snow already this winter and spring is still awhile away. Definitely missing our sunny California days, but Mason has really been enjoying the snow this year and it’s cute to see the excitement of it through the eyes of a child. Cal likes being pulled around on the sled, but is not too sure about walking in the snow. Maybe because it’s almost as tall as him right now!
